What Plated actually is

Plated is exosome skincare from Rion, a company started by Mayo Clinic physicians who study how the body heals itself. It is the first topical to be built around platelet derived exosomes, the tiny messengers your own cells use to signal renewal. In plain terms, it does not just sit on the surface. It talks to your skin and tells it to repair.

How the technology works

Every cell makes exosomes, but the ones from platelets are the messengers that signal soft tissue to renew. Rion isolates those through a very gentle filtration that keeps each exosome intact, and every one is under 150 nanometers, hundreds of times smaller than a pore, so they absorb rather than sit on top. They are carried in a hyaluronic acid gel that holds moisture while the exosomes go to work.
